Quick Patient Actions (Ctrl+F10)

Quick Summary opens the Quick Patient Actions for the currently selected patient. This gives you access to Templates (these are the same as the one on the dropdown in Encounter Notes), the Patient's Medical History and shortcut buttons to commonly used features.

Access Quick Patient Actions

  1. Press and release the Alt key, click Tools and select Quick Patient Actions from the list displayed. The Quick Patient Actions window is displayed.

Note: The shortcut to display the Quick Patient Actions window is Ctrl+F10.

Shortcut Buttons

New Message: Opens a new Accuro mail message with the patient selected.

New Task: Opens a new task with the patient selected. Tasks do not have to have a patient selected, so the patient can be removed from the task, if appropriate.

New Document: Clicking this button enables the user to upload a document.

New Lab: Allows the user to manually enter lab results for the selected patient.

New Bill: Creates a new bill for the selected patient. Clicking this button is like pressing Ctrl+B and opens the Claim Details window.

Show / Hide the Medical History

Use these buttons to show or hide the Medical History located in the bottom section of this window.

Keep the Window Open

When the green pin is displayed (this is the default), this window will remain open when any of the buttons are pressed. If you click the pin to deselect it, once a button is clicked, this window closes.

Templates

Clicking the dropdown in this section displays the same templates that are available in Encounter Notes (EMR > click the Encounter Notes tab).

Configure Bands

Clicking the Configure Quick Patient Actions Medical History button (cogwheel) opens up the Configure Bands window. Changing the order displayed only updates this window, the Medical History in Encounter Notes remains unchanged.

Note: This button can only be seen if the Medical History is displayed. If the Medical History is hidden, this button is also hidden.

You cannot add or remove bands in this view, but you can drag and drop to change the order that they are displayed. The list displayed for your clinic may vary depending upon your clinic's configuration.

Medical History

The Medical History displayed in the Quick Patient Actions window is exactly the same as is displayed on the right-hand side of the Encounter Notes tab of the EMR. The functionality that is available in Encounter Notes is also available in this section.
