Facility Management (AB, NS)

Accessing the Find Facility Window (AB, NS)

  1. Press F2 (Provider Management).
  2. Select Provider.
  3. Click the Configure button  .
  4. Click Next twice to access Billing Facilities (step 3).
  5. Click the Ellipses button  to the right of the Facility Name.

Searching a Facility (AB, NS)

  1. In the Find Facility window, enter in the all or part of the Facility Name and/or Facility Number.
  2. If desired, check the Custom Only (to view only Custom added Facilities) and/or Show Expired (to allow expired facilities) checkboxes to allow these to be included in the search.
  3. Click Find.

Adding a Facility (AB, NS)

  1. Click New in the Find Facility window
  2. Fill out the required fields: Facility Name, Facility Number, Effective Date, and End Date.
  3. Select a Facility Type as required. 
  4. Select the Require Functional Center checkbox, if required, and select the desired Functional Center(s) from the dropdown list. 
  5. Click Add

Editing a Facility (AB, NS) 

  1. In the Find Facility window, enter in the all or part of the Facility Name and/or Facility Number.
  2. If desired, check the Custom Only (to view only Custom added Facilities) and/or Show Expired (to allow expired facilities) checkboxes to allow these to be included in the search.
  3. Click Find.
  4. Right click the Facility and press Edit Facility Name, or double click to edit.
  5. Edit the desired Facility information: 

    When editing non-custom Facilities that are added by Update Lists, only the Facility Name, Facility Type, and Require Functional Center checkbox can be edited. The Facility Number, Effective Date, and End Date cannot be updated for non-custom Facilities. 

    When editing custom Facilities the Facility Name, Facility Type, Effective Date, End Date, and the Require Functional Center checkbox can be edited. The Facility Number cannot be updated for custom Facilities

  6. Click Save.

Adding a Facility and Functional Center to a Provider (AB, NS)

  1. In the Find Facility window, enter in the all or part of the Facility Name and/or Facility Number.
  2. If desired, check the Custom Only (to view only Custom added Facilities) and/or Show Expired (to allow expired facilities) checkboxes to allow these to be included in the search.
  3. Click Find.
  4. Select the desired Facility.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Select a Functional Center from the drop down, or click the Ellipses button , if required.
  7. Click the Add button  to add to the Provider.
  8. Click Next and then the Finish button.

Note: If desired, use the up and down arrows to change the order of Facilities.The top Facility will be set as the default for that Provider.

Adding an Expired Facility to a Provider (AB, NS)

Users can search on an expired facility when the Show Expired Facilities checkbox is selected. This is because some sites require expired facilities for things such as back dating claims.

To access the Show Expired Facilities checkbox:

  1. Press F2 (Provider Management).
  2. Select Provider. 
  3. Click the Configure button .
  4. Click Next twice to access Billing Facilities (step 3).
  5. Click the Ellipses button  to the right of Facility.
