Question: What do the colors in the EMR mean?
Answer: Black is after the appointment is created and is the default color. Red is if a soap note has been attached to the DOS for the appointment. Blue is if a letter has been faxed out of your clinic, Black is the normal color of text.
Question: Can you explain what the D.R. ## behind some prescriptions is?
Answer: This shows the number of days remaining for a continuous prescription, to enable the Provider to see if they need to renew it soon.
This is something that can be done by anyone in your clinic with an Administrator login.

Answer: Yes, you can change the form of a medication easily in Accuro by doing the following:
Question: Why can we not see meetings or teaching sessions that are booked on the EMR daysheet? Is there something i should be clicking on? Our doctor likes to use the daysheet rather than the scheduler.
Answer: These are meetings that are booked without a patient selected so they will not display in the EMR daysheet. Make the meeting a "Test" patient meeting and then all meetings and/or teaching sessions will be displayed in the EMR daysheet.
Question: How can I delete the "None Known" for allergies in Encounter Notes?
Answer: The "None Known" is automatically removed once an allergy of the same type is added. Alternatively, you can right click on the allergy (in this case the "None Known") and select Cancel Review.
Question: There are two form categories that are listed in the Form Editor that are not available in the EMR section (OR Booking Forms and OR Assessment Forms). We use OR Assessment Forms so can we get that added to the EMR section? We don't use OR Booking forms so can we get that one removed from the Form Editor?
Answer: No, these forms cannot be hidden in the Form Editor. These categories are for putting together booking packages used in the Traffic Manager.
However you can have a similarly named category in the EMR by creating it in the Form Editor (using the Manage option at the bottom of the list of Categories). Once you have created a new category, you can save forms to them and the new heading will then be displayed in Encounter Notes.
Question: We would like to move our prescription header. Can this be done? We are finding that a lot of faxes are cutting off the left-hand side.
Answer: The best way to fix this issue is to move the prescription margins. This can be done by following the procedure below:
Question: Do you have any information on the Prescription Review program? Is this software that you have available or is it something that we get elsewhere?
Answer: The Prescription Review Program is a set of rules in SK for handling controlled substance medication prescriptions. The part that applies to Accuro is the rules as to what must be included on the printed prescription. All requirements of the Prescription Review Program applicable to Accuro are already being met.
Question: A letter was generated for a patient. The clinical note is in the chart with a fax symbol on it. I can see and preview the letter from the fax console but I cannot find it in the virtual chart.
Answer: All faxes are CC's and there is no primary recipient. Only the primary recipient fax generated letter will show up in the virtual chart. If you right-click on the clinical notes and select Fax/Print Summary. If the item has a Yes in the CC column this is showing it is a CC with no primary recipient and this is why the fax cannot be seen in the virtual chart.
Question: If using the new feature in Physical history where you can change from imperial to metric and back again. This is changing lab values.
Answer: To answer this question an example is a baby's weight of 7lbs (entered as an imperial value) take off the imperial unit selection and this weight becomes 3.18kg (the metric equivalent). Put imperial back on and this weight is now 7.01lbs instead of the original 7lbs.
This is a known issue that is caused by rounding. The user can type up to eight decimal places. Any number typed is rounded to two decimal places as standard.
Question: Which guidelines is the Framingham Risk Calculator based on?
Answer: There are two versions of the Framingham Risk calculator in Accuro. The POSP version is the default and it follows the VCUR 2006 specifications. The Standard calculator originated from implementing what the government of each province has standardized.
Question: Is it possible to have gender pronouns included in the patient shortcut menu. When making templates I do not want to have to keep using [he|she] etc.
Answer: This is already a feature. This is exactly what the
button at the bottom of note entry screens does. Although it says M -> F it converts either way based on the patient's sex.
Question: Is there any way to customize a prescription so that mask and compliance packaging are not displayed?
Answer: No, unfortunately there is no way that this area of the prescription can be customized.
