EDT Connection (ON) 

To access the Electronic Data Transfer (EDT) Connection you must have the following:

 

  1. Once logged on to the computer/server where the submissions will be done, there is a shortcut on the desktop called EDT Connection. Double-click this icon to open up the connection tool.
  2. Once opened, you are prompted with the connection information which should be pre-populated with the number and connection information. Click Connect.

    After establishing a connection to EDT (this process can take a minute), you are prompted for your username and password for EDT submissions.
  3. Type in your username and press Enter.
  4. Type in your password and press Enter.
  5. You are prompted with some additional information regarding your edit account, press Enter to bypass this. The following screen is displayed:

 

 

 

Claims Submission (ON)

  1. Log into the EDT Connection. For help on how to do this see EDT Connection (ON).
  2. Press 3 and Enter. The following screen is displayed:

  3. Press 1 and Enter. You are prompted to enter the claim information on the following screen:

  4. Click the down arrow two-times. Type in the the full submission file name. This will be displayed on the Accuro screen once you have clicked Submit Claims.
    Note: The first two characters represent the month, the last numbers represent your billing number, the very last three digits are the submission number for that period.
    Once you have entered the full filename, press Enter.
  5. You are prompted for a file sending process. Click Transfer on the Menu bar, and select Send from the list displayed.
  6. Click the Browse button to locate the submission file (this will be under C:\ONCLAIMS\). Once located verify this is the same file that was typed in to the previous window. Click to select the file and click Open.
  7. The file information is populated into the send window, click Send.
  8. Once the window goes back to the main menu screen, sending is complete. Log off by pressing 4 and Enter.
  9. Once this section is completed successfully, in Accuro click the Successfully Sent button to process.

Submission Response Retrieval (ON)

After a submission, approximately 15 minutes during a business day, a response is placed ready to download advising that the last submission was received.

Approximately 48 hours after submission, rejections will be placed ready for download as a claims error report.

On the first few days of each month a file will be ready for download called claims remittance advice, which shows all the payments which will be paid out to the physician.

To download any of these items once logged in to the EDT system do the following from the main screen:

  1. Select 1 and press Enter.
  2. Using the arrow keys place an * beside any items that need to be downloaded.
  3. Once all items that need to be downloaded have been selected, press Esc+0 (Escape+Zero) this starts the transfer process.
  4. This prompts for a file receiving process, click Transfer on the Menu bar and select Receive from the list displayed.
  5. Click the Browse button to select where the files will be saved (this should be C:\ONCLAIMS\)
  6. This populates the file information in to the receive window, click Receive.
  7. Repeat this process for each file you need to receive.
