eChart Manitoba (MB)

QHR Technologies has implemented Manitoba eChart as a patient context sensitive browser launch (contextual) from within Accuro®EMR. For health care providers using Accuro®EMR, the eChart launch allows the users to directly access the patient’s EHR profile from Accuro.

The clinic providers will require their Internet Explorer browser to be installed with an eHealth certificate and each user requires an eHealth eChart user ID and password.

Clinics need to be running Accuro®EMR, build number 2012.06 or later.

For Customer Support, please contact the QHR Technologies Service Desk at 1-866-729-8889.

Access eChart (MB)

  1. Log in to Accuro and ensure a patient is loaded.
  2. Press and release the Alt key, click Tools and select eChart Manitoba from the list displayed.

Note: A patient must be loaded before launching eChart or the following warning is displayed after eChart Manitoba is selected.

  3. The very first time a user attempts to access eChart from Accuro a login window is displayed. A valid username and password from eChart is stored in Accuro after a successful login for the life of the eChart password.

  4. On successful login the eChart web page loads with the correct patient and all subsequent eChart use does not require a password to be entered since the password is stored in Accuro.
  5. When the eChart password expires eChart is still launched but instead of a patient information being displayed, the user is directed to a web page which indicates there are issues with the password and to contact eHealth.

  6. Once the password has been updated with eHealth, launching eChart from Accuro prompts for a correct password and the new eChart password is saved and replaces the expired one.

  7. After a password change the existing launch functionality is restored for the life of the new eChart password.
  8. Once finished logout of eChart prior to shutting down the browser window. To close the browser (click the "x" or press ALT+F4). If you forget to close, on the next launch or logout closes the window, best practise is to logout of eChart first to avoid potential refresh issues.
