It’s time again for Tech Tuesday; a weekly series of helpful hints, tips, and workflows that you can use to improve your skills in Accuro®EMR.
If you read these Tech Tuesday’s often, you know that I am big fan of hotkeys. Although there cannot be a key for everything, there are many secret shortcuts lurking around in Accuro. I have a tip for you that uncovers shortcut keys on the fly.
In many (not all) windows, the buttons and entry fields have shortcut hotkeys that press the button or take you to the field for entry. These have the technical name "accelerators". The way you reveal these is by holding down the ALT key. Once you do this you will see some of the letters in buttons and labels underline themselves. This indicates which letter you press (while holding down ALT) to trigger the function.

Quicker than using the mouse? Maybe. I leave that for you to decide. Good to know that the keyboard is there and many functions that may reduce your trips back and forth to your mouse.
