Accuro allows doctors to order labs, receive results, reconcile and review results.
Labs can be ordered in the EMR on the Encounter Notes tab. The lab requisition form can be completed, printed out and handed to your patient to take with them when they go for their tests.
If you cannot find the lab requisition you require, you can download the appropriate form in the Form Editor area of Accuro.
Lab results are received electronically through the Home section into the Labs folder. When you select a Lab from the Labs Inbox, Accuro checks against outstanding labs and if a match is found, the user is asked if they want to reconcile.
Outstanding labs can be viewed in the Outstanding Requisitions section. This is where you can go and check to see if patients have actually gone and had the required tests. If an amount of time has elapsed and the patient has not had tests performed, your clinic can use this list for follow up.
The font color for the entire line of text for an abnormal lab result is red.
Labs that have been received but have not yet been viewed appear bolded in the Inbox and have "NEW" in the Reviewed column of the Virtual Chart until the lab is read.
The options button at the bottom of the lab viewer contains two checkboxes "Show User Notes" and "Show Lab Test Headers" (both default to selected). When the Show User Notes checkbox is not selected user notes are not displayed in the lab viewer.
A list of all outstanding lab requisitions can be displayed in the Outstanding Requisitions, Referrals and Orders.
