Active Directory Integration
Accuro has support for authenticating logins through active directory and support for single sign on with the user's current Windows login. A user will still have a normal Accuro login, but they also have the option to use their active directory username and password to access Accuro.
Set up Active Directory / Single Windows Login For a User
To be able to setup a user you need to have Administrator access to Accuro. You need to follow the procedure below. Before you start you need to have the following information on hand:
- The IP address of the Active directory server
- The Netbios name of the Domain (this should be all uppercase)
- The fully qualified name of the Domain (this should be all uppercase)
- The fully qualified name of any users you are configuring
- Press and release the Alt button on the keyboard, click Users and select Manage Security from the list displayed.
- Click the System Settings tab on the left-hand side of the window.
- Click the Login tab.
- Click to select the Use Windows Single Sign On checkbox.
- Click the Add button
and add the Domain.
- Click Save Settings to save all your changes.
- Click the Users tab on the left-hand side of the Manage Security window.
- Click the
to the right of User and select the appropriate user from the list displayed.
- In the Account Details section, in the Active Dir. User field, type in the appropriate details (e.g. John.Doe@yourclinic.com).
- To test that you have configured single sign on correctly, on initial launch if your domain is selected Accuro will log the user on automatically.
Note: To access the login screen again, the user has to logout.
